Spectrum Stone RECREATES A WALL FOR THE NATIONAL TRUST IN MINEHEAD

Following the demolition of part of the perimeter wall by a car, the main objectives of the contract were to clear the site of debris and rebuild the wall to join up with the remaining wall.

The low level wall which followed the contour of the road was rebuilt using random rubble which then rejoined to the high level wall.

Once the wall was consolidated, detail for the coping stones were taken. These were then produced ready for fixing. Once fixed and pointed up, holes were drilled for the location of new iron railings.

PUBLIC ART IN THE COMMUNITY PROJECT, FULBOURN, CAMBRIDGE

Spectrum Stone worked with Andy Tanser to create a public art project in Fulbourn. This involved a variety of mediums including: sandstone, limestone, granite, pebbles and stainless steel, all varying in surface texture and colour to form a vibrant and unique design.

All pieces of the jigsaw/design were hand-crafted by Spectrum Stone’s skilled workers to create individual aspects of the project, which were then carefully assembled on site.
